ERTUĞRUL ATEŞ


Dr. Ertuğrul ATEŞ graduated from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Abdullah Gül University and received his Ph.D. degree in 2024 with his dissertation on electric machine drive systems, sensorless vector control of AC machines, and applications of control theory. He worked as a Research Assistant at the same university between 2019 and 2023. From 2019 to 2020, he was a scholar under the TÜBİTAK 1001 – Scientific and Technological Research Project. Between 2023 and 2024, he conducted research as a visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Dallas in the United States, supported by the TÜBİTAK 2214 – International Doctoral Research Fellowship Program. He is currently serving as a Research Assistant in the Department of Computer Engineering, Division of Control and Command Systems at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. Additionally, he continues his research as a postdoctoral researcher at the AGU POWER LAB research laboratory at Abdullah Gül University.

ARİF EMRE YILDIZ


ARİF EMRE YILDIZ has received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Abdullah Gül University. He worked at AGU Power Electronics Laboratory between 2021-2024. His research interests are design and optimisation of electrical machines.

DİDEM TEKGÜN


DIDEM TEKGUN has received her bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Inonu University, Malatya, Turkey, and M.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering from The University of Akron, Akron, OH, USA in 2017. Currently she is pursuing her Ph.D. degree in Abdullah Gul University. Her research interests include AC electric machine design and optimization techniques, SRM noise reduction techniques, sensor development, and power electronics. She has been a part of various military, industrial, and research projects funded by TARDEC, Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, and TÜBİTAK. Her dissertation research is rewarded by TÜBİTAK scientist support program and recognized by various companies. She has a patent application, two journal articles, and five conference proceedings from her dissertation research.

UFUK GENÇ


UFUK GENC received the BsC degree in electric and electronic engineering from Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Eskişehir, Turkey in 2019. He is currently working on MsC degree in electrical and electronics engineering with power electronics lab at Abdullah Gül University, Kayseri, Turkey. His research interests include torque control and minimization of switched reluctance machines.

MUHAMMED MUHSİN COŞDU


MUHAMMED MUHSIN COSDU joined Abdullah Gul University in 2018 after graduating from Meram Science Highschool. After finishing the preparatory program early, joined the Electrical and Electronics Engineering program in the 2018-2019 Spring Semester. In 2019 joined Power Lab where he started working on the design and optimization of electric machines. With the development of an effective optimization algorithm for geometric optimization of electric machines, he contributed to publications in the laboratory. His research interest mainly focused on Electric Machine Design, Optimization, and Production, but he also worked on electric motor control topologies and algorithms.

AHMET FURKAN HAÇAN


AHMET FURKAN HAÇAN is a senior year student in Electrical Electronics Engineering at Abdullah Gül University. He joined Power Lab in 2020. His research interest includes the design and optimization of electric machines, high torque density TFM, traction applications, and motor control.

MEHMET YASİN ÖZDEMİR


MEHMET YASİN ÖZDEMİR received his B.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering from Erciyes Üniversity, Kayseri, in 2021. He has been working at the AGU Power Lab since 2019. His research interests focused on fluid mechanics, heat transfer on fluid flow. He performs modal analysis, steady state thermal analysis, computational fluid dynamics analysis using Ansys Software.

MURATCAN YAZICI


MURATCAN YAZİCİ studied Electrical Electronics Engineering at Abdullah Gul University. He worked in the AGU Power Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Tekgun over two years. Throughout his endeavors in Power Laboratory, he worked on the design of a” Battery Management System and Thermal Analysis of a Battery Pack using Ansys Fluent. In addition, he is the designer of “Traction Motor Drive & Control” PCBs in the laboratory.
